City reports

Logged-out visitors can open an approved set of frozen city snapshots. Pages are pre-generated from public datasets and are not recalculated on each visit.

What is on a city page

  • Population and year-on-year change, with ONS vintage
  • Registered-business count, density, and year-on-year change, with Nomis vintage
  • Largest sectors by business count (not a recommendation of what to start)
  • Coverage notes and source limitations beside the figures
  • A clear prompt to create a free account for custom searches

Immutability

City reports are served from frozen snapshot files with a freeze date. Updating the underlying Nomis or ONS extracts does not change a published city page until snapshots are regenerated and redeployed.

What is not included

Crime, news, OpenStreetMap venues, cash forecasts, and arbitrary place searches stay behind a free account. Same-industry concentration is registered-business presence, not demand, footfall, spend, or competitive intensity.

Where to find it

Open /cities or the City reports link in the header when you are signed out. Home also lists the same approved snapshots.
