UK business decision evidence · version 1.0.0-rc · 26 August 2026

Decised brings public business, economic and local-area evidence into one place, helping founders and advisers examine an idea before committing time or capital.

Included

  • Limited public city snapshots for visitors.
  • Free accounts for custom searches and saved reports.
  • UK company and industry evidence.
  • Local population and economic indicators.
  • Business openings, closures and registered-business concentration.
  • Evidence sources, coverage dates and limitations.
  • Decision cases and alternative comparison.
  • Cash-flow scenarios and funding-gap estimates.
  • Evidence collection and assumption tracking.
  • Downloadable report and evidence-pack exports.
  • Workspaces (Beta) for testing collaboration and review.

Known limitations

  • Individual Companies House register-survival probabilities remain withheld.
  • City snapshots cover an approved list only; custom places need an account.
  • Workspaces invitations and member lifecycle controls are still Beta.
  • Crime, news and OpenStreetMap venues are descriptive context and never enter a score.
  • Production email delivery for verification and password reset is not yet enabled.

Decised provides structured evidence and financial scenarios. It does not decide whether a user should proceed and does not replace professional financial, legal or investment advice.

Near-term commitments

Near-term commitments we are actively shaping. Timing can change as quality, licensing and feedback evolve.

Immutable city snapshots

Status: In progress

Serve allowlisted city pages from frozen snapshot files with full search metadata, not live recalculation on every request.

Collaboration improvements

Status: Planned

Signed, expiring Workspace invitations, verified-email acceptance, pending-invite management, and clearer ownership controls based on Beta feedback.

Deeper financial modelling

Status: Planned

Expand scenarios for price and volume, multiple revenue streams, seasonality, capacity, VAT, working capital, payment delays and funding schedules.

Improved comparisons

Status: Planned

Compare multiple locations, industries or business alternatives using the same assumptions, evidence definitions and time period.

United States data

Status: Planned

Expand location and business research into the United States using appropriate national, state and local sources.

Compare US locations using population, employment, income, industry and business evidence.

Potential sources

  • US Census Bureau
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • Bureau of Economic Analysis
  • Federal Reserve Economic Data
  • Small Business Administration

Coverage will vary because company-registration data is managed differently across US states.

Exploring data sources

Exploratory data sources and capabilities. These are not delivery commitments until quality, coverage and licensing are confirmed.

Show exploratory sources (9)

Business locations, categories and reviews

Status: Exploring

Evaluate Google Places, Google Business Profile data, or a suitably licensed alternative.

Add richer evidence about nearby businesses, categories, locations, opening patterns and customer feedback.

Availability depends on provider terms, licensing, cost, permitted storage and whether the data produces reliable decision evidence. Review ratings would not be treated as a measure of business quality or demand.

Commercial property and rent

Status: Exploring

Add commercial rent, property availability, rateable value and occupancy evidence to improve location and fixed-cost assumptions.

Possible sources may include licensed commercial-property providers, Valuation Office Agency data and other approved datasets.

Footfall and mobility

Status: Exploring

Add pedestrian activity, mobility and visit-pattern evidence where reliable licensed coverage is available.

Footfall is context and does not directly predict revenue.

Consumer demand and spending

Status: Exploring

Add aggregated consumer-spending and demand indicators to help users test whether local activity supports their revenue assumptions.

Only aggregated, privacy-safe data would be used. Individual transaction information would not be exposed.

Business financial health

Status: Exploring

Add licensed credit, insolvency and payment-risk evidence to improve the assessment of supplier, customer and market resilience.

This would not constitute a lending or credit decision.

Planning, licences and local development

Status: Planned

Add planning applications, local licences and major development activity that may affect demand, competition or operating conditions.

Transport and accessibility

Status: Planned

Add public transport, road access, parking and journey-time evidence to improve physical-location comparisons.

Accessibility would not be reduced to a single unexplained score.

Accounting and Open Banking connections

Status: Exploring

Allow existing businesses to compare their real performance with assumptions using explicit, permissioned connections.

Connections would require user consent, secure providers, clear data controls and the ability to disconnect and remove imported data.

Data export and integrations

Status: Exploring

Provide structured exports and carefully controlled integrations for advisers, accountants and other professional workflows.

A public API is not part of this direction unless it is separately approved.

Under consideration

These are areas we are evaluating rather than committed releases. We will only add them when the data is sufficiently reliable, explainable and useful.

  • Commercial vacancy and occupancy.
  • Tourism and visitor activity.
  • Local procurement and contract opportunities.
  • Energy and utility-cost benchmarks.
  • Climate and physical-location risk.
  • Supply-chain and logistics evidence.
  • Sector-specific licences and regulatory requirements.
  • Regional grants and funding opportunities.
  • Additional international markets.

This page describes our current direction, not a contractual delivery commitment. Priorities may change as data availability, licensing, quality, user feedback and regulatory requirements change. We will update this page when an item’s status materially changes.
