Terms of service
Last updated 1 September 2026.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Decised websites, accounts and related features (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Organisational use of Workspaces (Beta) may also be governed by the Commercial Agreement and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement.
1. The Service
Decised is a UK pre-commitment decision workspace. It helps founders and advisers organise public evidence and their own assumptions before committing capital. Individual features for registered users, and Workspaces (Beta), are currently free.
Decised does not provide investment, legal, tax, accounting or credit advice; underwriting; approval to proceed; a success score; or a guarantee of outcomes. Outputs are evidence, benchmarks, model estimates and derived calculations for your own review.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Provide an accurate email address and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- A free account is required for custom searches, saved reports, uploads and decision cases. Public city snapshots may be viewed without an account.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Break applicable law or infringe others’ rights.
- Scrape, bulk-download or systematically harvest the Service beyond ordinary interactive use, including attempting to enumerate every UK location.
- Overload, disrupt or probe the Service without authorisation.
- Impersonate others, phish, or attempt to gain unauthorised access.
- Present Decised outputs as an approval, credit decision, regulated advice, or guarantee.
- Upload malware or content you are not entitled to share.
- Use the Service to harm children or distribute illegal content.
Report misuse via Reporting abuse.
4. Your content
You retain rights in figures, uploads and text you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Decised a limited licence to host, process, display and back up Your Content solely to operate the Service for you and, where applicable, for members of a Workspace (Beta) you join or create.
Privacy of reports and uploads. Personal account materials are intended for your use. If you use Workspaces (Beta), members of that workspace may access shared cases and related materials according to their role. Treat Workspaces as shared environments. Do not upload information you are not entitled to share with those members.
5. Public data and third-party sources
Reports may include or call public sources such as Nomis, the Office for National Statistics (ONS), Companies House, police.uk, OpenStreetMap and news search providers. Search text you enter while signed in may be forwarded to those services to resolve a place or company. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their availability or accuracy. Missing data stays missing; we do not invent figures.
6. Intellectual property
Decised owns the Service software, branding and documentation, excluding Your Content and third-party data. You may not copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may change features, impose abuse limits, suspend accounts that violate these Terms, or discontinue parts of the Service. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Decided does not warrant that outputs are complete, current or suitable for any investment decision.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to £100 or the amounts (if any) you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers habitually resident elsewhere in the UK may bring claims in their home courts where required by law.
